Why do you work at the Hotel VICTORIA?
I used to work in a bakery until it was closed. I heard about Hotel VICTORIA through a side job and applied here in 2009. My first department was the breakfast and I was the assistant to the cook. A few years later, she had to leave, and I immediately applied for the job. I told Sabine that I could do it and she put her trust in me. A week later, I was assigned to a brunch by myself and had my first challenge, which I mastered. Since then, I am the event, conference and breakfast cook. At the hotel, I've been able to bring in a lot of new ideas and try out new techniques, because I love to bake and cook for a living. I've been able to learn and progress so much here that I'd love to stay here forever.
What term for the Wall of Positive Energy do you choose for your everyday work?
My term is RESPONSIBILITY!
I'm on top of everything in the kitchen and I'm proud to be able to contribute so much. When someone helps, it's totally teamwork and I like to instruct, but I keep the responsibility. It also makes you proud, knowing that everyone trusts in my skills.
