We are not allowed to host guests from a virus-variant area.
In order to ensure the safety of our guests and staff, we ask guests who have been in a virus-variant area in the past 10 days to refrain from travelling.

We disinfect all common areas several times a day.
A first impression of cleanliness is very important to us. It is now even more important to enhance and implement the cleaning routines in all areas and to give the virus no chance. We therefore disinfect all common areas several times a day. These include the lift, the toilets, the reception, the hand rails and the door handles.
For your own safety, we ask you to wash your hands regularly. A hand disinfectant dispenser, located in the hotel entrance area, is available to you at all times.
We make sure to keep enough distance from our guests.
We make sure to maintain the required minimum distance of 1.5 meters in all areas of the Hotel VICTORIA in order to protect our guests as well as our colleagues.
Distance markings have been installed in the hotel entranceand reception area to help you keep the required distance during the check-in, check-out and while waiting for the lift.
During your stay at the VICTORIA we also ask you to pay attention and to keep the minimum distance required when in the presence of other guests or of staff members, in order to protect everybody.
We e-mail the invoice to you.
The electronic invoice is one of the preventive measures that we give particularly importance to. It’s the best option to guarantee your safety during check-out and to help the environment through a further step towards sustainability!
We e-mail you the invoice immediately after the payment. Please don’t forget to enter your e-mail address in the registration form during the check-in so that our front desk may send you the invoice in a fast, digital way.
Our elevator may only take one person or one household at a time.
Our elevator is very comfortable and will take you quickly to your room. In your best interest we ask you to use the elevator either alone or only with the persons of your household.
Alternatively you can use our beautiful, spacious and historic staircase. Here you will have enough space to maintain the minimum distance as per regulation. Please make sure you do!
Also our employees are requested to use the elevator one at a time or to take the stairs instead. On top of everything this will ensure the benefits of a short workout.
Our employees are also tested regularly!
Our employees have the opportunity to be tested for the coronavirus twice a week.
For our guests, but for our employees, this is an important step for a little more safety in our everyday life.
You can also support us by having yourself tested regularly.
Wearing a FFP2 mask is mandatory in all public areas of the hotel VICTORIA.
We ask you to wear a FFP2 mask in the common areas of the hotel. Of course, you may take off your mask at the breakfast table or in our open air café LaTerrazza.
Our employees also wear masks in all common areas and when near our guests or other colleagues.
Our employees are specifically trained in hygiene practices and routines.
A responsible approach to hygiene has always been a top priority in all departments of the Hotel VICTORIA. In order to guarantee the highest health and safety standards during your stay now and in the future, we revised and enhanced our hygiene concept in all departments and created an even more comprehensive hygiene strategy in line with the new requirements.
Our employees from the departments of housekeeping, food & beverage, front desk and management have been trained in our new hygiene strategy. With workshops and through our intranet communication we manage to keep every employee up to date about all hygiene practices and to ensure that everyone gets familiar with the new regulations!
We disinfect keys, pens and parking tokens for each guest.
Special circumstances require special measures! In order to contribute to EVERYONE’s health and safety we disinfect room keys, pens and parking tokens after EACH use.
To make you feel even safer, we ask you to keep your key until your departure. If you are worried about losing it or if you don’t want to carry your key when you leave the hotel you can always deposit it at the reception.

It’s particularly important for us to emphasize that we have been working with an in-house housekeeping team for over 125 years. Even though it’s very common for a hotel of our size to cooperate with an independent cleaning company due to budget reasons, we prefer to rely on the long-standing experience of our housekeeping personnel and especially of our housekeeping manager!
You can rely on us, our team works on a daily basis to ensure you a safe environment!
We offer you the possibility to skip the daily room cleaning during your stay.
Your room is your home during your stay! We would like to guarantee you and our employees alike the maximum of safety and therefore we offer you the possibility to decline the daily room cleaning.
This offer is optional for you. Our goal is to contribute to reducing the spread of viruses and to guarantee absolute safety. If you decide not to have your room cleaned on a daily basis, please inform the front desk!
Are you planning to stay longer in our beautiful city and would like to have your room cleaned every now and then? No problem! Please inform our front desk the evening before or in the morning on your way to the breakfast room and we will take care of it.
Our housekeeping team will provide you any time with all the hygiene items you need, such as toilet paper, even if you skip the room cleaning service. Please let us know how we can assist you!
We disinfect and air our rooms thoroughly.
We have given a lot of thought especially to the issues concerning room cleaning. Weeks before the official announcement that we would soon be able to welcome ALL guests again, we developed an enhanced and more comprehensive hygiene concept.
From now on our housekeeping splits in two teams. The first team carefully removes dirty linens, towels and rubbish from the rooms. For safety reasons the members of the first team work using protective clothes and equipment, which they only take off after they have completed this process in all rooms and wash immediately with our washing machine.
The second team cleans the rooms. All areas of the room are thoroughly disinfected and aired after each departure. We pay special attention to sensitive items and surfaces such as the TV remote control, light switches, glasses and door handles.
A special air purification system disinfects and filters a large part of the viruses and bacteria from the air and ensures a pleasant indoor climate in your room. You can find the manufacturer's certificate here.
