For a cool night... 

As the VICTORIA is a building from 1896 it is covered by certain burdens concerning some features, therefore it is quite hard to install air-conditioning in all our rooms. Our Junior Suites and Family Rooms have already air conditioning and also all rooms in 2­­nd, 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th floor. Furthermore it is foreseen to furnish the whole house step by step in the next years. During the hot summer days and nights you will find a fan in your room closet.

Did you leave your adapter at home and do you need the right plug to be able to use your electronic devices?

You can borrow an international adapter at the front desk for a deposit of 20,00 €. If you forgot your recharger for your electronic devices, please ask us – there is a small selection at your disposal.

From the Albrecht-Duerer Airport to the Hotel VICTORIA and backwards...

You can reach the Nuremberg Airport by subway within 15 minutes. Please take line U2 to the airport and get off at the last stop. If you consider going to the airport by car or taxi, it will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on the traffic. Daily tickets for the public transportation can be purchased at the hotel front desk. Of course we will also inform you about the current charges.

When is check-in time and how long will you be able to stay in your room on day of departure?

Generally we ask you to arrive after 03:00 p.m. and to leave the room by 11:00 noon on the day of departure. In particular cases we can arrange different times of arrival and departure depending on our availability. Please contact the front desk for further arrangements.

In any case we can store your luggage safely when arriving earlier or departing later. Of course you can also park your car in the underground garage even by early arrival, also depending on our availability. The costs are 16 Euro per day.

Nuremberg offers you a huge amount of cultural highlights: Starting from the Imperial Castle up to the Toy Museum. 

It wouldn’t be possible to list all sights of Nuremberg’s historical and artistic heritage… each one is worth to be mentioned separately. Please ask our front desk staff for a free city map or for the VICTORIA walks, our self made guides for your orientation. If you have any questions, we are happy to support you.

Enjoy modern arts even inside the Hotel VICTORIA! Wonderful paintings by Eva Sol can be admired in our Quality rooms, as well as in our JuniorSuite Königstor and in our lounging area LichtBlick. Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528), is the most renowned German artist all over the world. He was born in the heart of the Old City and he lived and worked here for most part of his life.

You are visiting the Nuremberg fair?

You can reach the "NürnbergMesse" by underground train, line U1 (direction: Langwasser Sued; stop: Messe), within 10 minutes. If you go to the exhibition centre by car or taxi you will need to plan approximately 20 minutes for the journey, depending on the traffic. Daily tickets for the public transportation can be purchased at the hotel front desk. Of course we will also inform you about the current charges.

Unfortunately not all of our rooms have an air conditioning yet. Therefore you will find a fan in your room during the hot days and nights.

We therefore ask you to consider the following instructions carefully should a case of fire emergency occur:

• Become familiar with the emergency signs and instructions located on each floor and in your hotel room.
• Memorize the plan of the escape routes and emergency exits.
• Verify the location of the closest fire extinguisher and become familiar with its parts and operation.
• Do not use the lift in case of fire!
• Become familiar with your hotel room in case that you might have to wait for help inside your room if the escape routes should not be accessible.
• Stay calm and rational! It will help you react safely.
• Give immediate notice of the fire and operate the alarm (call fire, use the phone to contact the front desk or the emergency service, operate the fire alarm, etc.)!

Are you planning a surprise for your darling?

The next flower shops "Blumen Grün Punkt" and “Casa dei Fiori” are located in the basement of the Nuremberg train station respectively in the main hall of the train station. However, if you walk to the city center, you will find a lot of market stalls selling fresh seasonal flowers. For special arrangements we highly recommend the flower shop "Blume2000" located in the Koenigstrasse 42-52. Of course we can also arrange a floral surprise for you, just let us know!

Passion for tradition... since 1896!

Hotel VICTORIA was built in 1896 in the typical Nuremberg’s Gothic Revival style and is now considered a landmarked historical building. The salesman Joseph Schuler purchased the hotel approximately in 1920, but then it was bombed and heavily damaged like most buildings of city center during World War II.

Joseph Schuler rebuilt the hotel between 1945 and 1948 and now the traditional family business is run by his great-granddaughter, Sabine Powels.

We can look back on over 120 years of history - experience it!

The German Hotel & Restaurant Association classifies our hotel every three years on the basis of its strict assessment criteria. Our 4 star classification is a matter of pride for us.

Your room will be cleaned daily between 8am and 3pm. 

If you would like to request a certain time for it, please ask our front office.

In case the “Please-do-not-disturb” sign is hanging at your door, we will not enter your room.

Absolute hygiene and cleanliness are very important aspects of our hotel!

Our housekeeping team works in an extremely reliable and conscious way. If there is anything that doesn’t come up to your expectations, in spite of our professional commitment, we kindly ask you to report this immediately.

Please inform us in advance and bring your clothing to the reception. The price depends on the type of clothing. If you wish to take care of your clothes on your own, please ask us for iron and ironing board – we gladly put it for free on your disposal.

Nuremberg and surroundings offer you many different jogging and running routes: 

Along the river meadows, at the park Marienberg, around lake Dutzendteich or even around the city wall, east (direction Lauf) or west (direction Fuerth) from the city center.  At the reception you will find a brochure with three different routes in one of the most beloved jogging areas in Nuremberg: Lake Woehrdersee.

Of course we do our very best to make also our youngest guests feel comfortable in our hotel...

Would you like to clean your clothes?

At the reception you will get a bag for the dirty clothes along with the listed prices of our laundry service. If you leave your laundry at the front desk before 09:00 a.m., our laundry service will return it on the same day (except on weekends). Please also consider that our laundry service is available only from Monday to Friday. For any information about laundromats please ask our front desk staff.

In the hotel lounging area LichtBlick you will find our little library with a selection Franconian thrillers and a choice of various other books. Have fun reading!

The perfect spot to relax after a hectic working day or an exploring tour through the city.

Our winter garden LichtBlick is a lounging area located in the mezzanine, between the ground and the first floor. Of course we will be happy to serve you a drink here.

Make yourself comfortable with a glass of wine or a nice book from our small but select library. We also provide a Loewe TV. We try our very best to make you feel at home!

For the sake of the environment our housekeeping changes the bedroom and bathroom linen every two days during your occupancy, unless otherwise required. 

Of course you can also request to have your linen changed on a daily basis.

Please inform our front desk or our housekeeping staff and we will be happy to provide clean sheets for you which should help promote a restful sleep.

We will take care of your items if you forgot any object of value. 

Did you find or maybe loose anything? Please contact our staff at the reception desk. After consultation we will send you the object of value.

Your are planning to arrive by car?

You can park your car safely & conveniently in our underground garage. Please ask the reception for a parking token, our front desk staff will explain you the way to the garage which is located 200 m behind the hotel.
The parking fee is 16,00 € for 24 hours and 12,00 € per day for meeting guests and depends on availability.

We accept cash, ATM cards as well as the following credit cards: 

American Express, VISA, Mastercard, JCB und Diners. Furthermore payment with your smartphone, Google Pay, Apple Pay or your smartwatch is possible. If you are paying your bill by credit card you will have the option to select your own currency.

Our hotel VICTORIA is a pet friendly establishment.

If you’re on vacation, you don’t have to leave your furry friend behind. Please consider that a supplement of 16,00 € applies per day. This includes a blanket for your pet as well as a little “welcome-treat”! Nevertheless we kindly ask you not to access the breakfast room with animals as a sign of respect for the other hotel guests. Did you forget your reading glasses at home?

No Problem! At our reception desk we offer a small choice with different diopters. We are looking forward to helping you. 

We consciously pay attention to the origin of our products and try whenever we can to use regional foods...

For example, we buy our eggs, fruits and vegetables, as well as jams, muesli and juices from regional manufacturers. On top of that, we are able to offer honey from our own bees at the buffet which have their beehive on the roof of the New Museum of Modern Art and Design. We also attach great importance to using seasonal food and by varying it to provide variety. Therefore it can happen that the one or other treat is not always available on our buffet.

Our culinary recommendations for you...

The restaurant and guesthouse Bocksbeutel - Stuben im Pillhofer”, located just next door, offers you an excellent choice of Franconian food and drinks. The restaurant is open Monday & Tuesday from 2pm onwards and on Wednesday - Sunday from 12am onwards. Kitchen is open till 10pm - closing at 12pm.

In addition to that Nuremberg offers you a variety of restaurants to satisfy any desire. May we give you a few recommendations? For instance, the Italian restaurant “Padelle d’Italia” (Theatergasse 17) with its extraordinary choice of Italian specialties and wines or the Restaurant “Estragon” (Jakobstrasse 19) which provides exquisite Mediterranean cuisine and a weekly changing menu with delicious specialties from all over the world. For any other suggestions kindly ask our front desk staff.

All rooms are equipped with an electronicsafe... 

To store your valuables, you can personally program the safe with a security code of your choice. You will find the safety box inside the room closet.

There is also a vault at your disposal at our reception where we may deposit your belongings on request. The insurance sum is limited.

You will find our electrical shoe polish machine on the first floor of our hotel in front of the lift. You will also find a shoe cleaning kit in your room closet.

Your clothing has been damaged or you need to sew a loose button?

You will find a free sewing kit in your wardrobe. 

Did you leave your slippers at home? 

We are happy to help you out with our hotel slippers that you can request at the front desk.

Our hotel is completely non-smoking!

Take your time to relax after an exhausting work day in the swimming pool of Nuremberg south town, “Südstadtbad”! 

This facility provides an indoor swimming pool, indoor diving boards, a high diving tower, a heated outdoor pool (opened all year round)and a wading pool. The facility is suitable also for the youngest ones thanks to a separate, higher-tempered toddler area. A play area and a separate baby change room are also provided.
