Privacy Policy

Via our website we generally do not record personalized data (name, address, email address).
Though with every access of a user to a website of Hotel Victoria Theodor Schuler GmbH & Co. KG and with every demand of a file data about this process is memorized in a log.

Hereafter we show you what happens with the data incurred and which safety measures we implemented.
In detail every demand of the following data is memorized:

  • name of the accessed file
  • date and time of the access
  • transferred data volume
  • website from which the file was requested (referrer URL)
  • websites which you requested on our website
  • access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • used web browser and used operating system
  • name of the service provider
  • complete IP address of the requesting computer

Due to technical security, especially for the defense of attempted hacking of our web server, those data is memorized. A combination with other data from other data basis is not carried out. All data is deleted finally and in full.

    1. Our website is an informational platform that we would like to use to answer your enquiries. In order to make contact requests more personal, you have the option of providing your name, address and email address via the contact form. Of course, providing just your email is sufficient for us to answer your inquiries.
       
    2. If you place orders or bookings via our website or otherwise (e.g. by telephone), we will generally record personal information such as your name and address and possibly your desired delivery address, email address, telephone number, credit card number as part of the order process.
      Our pursuit is to offer all our guests and visitors an excellent service. This includes also the safeguarding of your data.
      Online reservations via our website are realized by the online booking engine vioma GmbH, Industriestrasse 27, 77656 Offenburg whose provider is our contract partner.
      All the data you provide are generally transferred in encrypted form.
      Our contract partner has undertaken the obligation to ensure a privacy-friendly handling.
      The partner takes organizational and technical measures for the protection of your data.

2. Purposes for which we use your data
We use your data to enable you to visit our website (connection setup) and to create anonymous usage statistics based on the automatically transmitted data which enable us to track the use of our website and to tailor it to your needs and target group. (1)
In addition, we process personal data in order to answer your contact inquiries, to process orders or bookings and to tailor our services to your wishes. Where required, we may also use your personal data in order to enforce our or third party rights. (2)

3. Disclosure of data to third parties
3.1 We transmit personal data collected in connection with the handling of orders and bookings to service providers who help us process your orders and bookings. In particular, this pertains to providers of credit card billing services, insofar as it is necessary to transmit the data for the purpose of payment processing. We work with the following companies in this regard: American Express International Inc. NL Deutschland, Theodor-Heuss-Allee 112, 60486 Frankfurt am Main, Germany (for AMEX cards; Concardis GmbH, Helfmann-Park 7, 65760 Eschborn (für Visa, MasterCard, Diners/Discover Card, JCB, CUP, Maestro, VPay).
Making a reservation via our website, this happens through the online reservation system vioma GmbH, Industriestrasse 27, 77656 Offenburg.

3.2 When requesting our newsletter, your personal data like email address and eventually name may be transferred to provider for sending our newsletters CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 4, 26180 Rastede  with your consent and revocable at any time.

3.3 We use the Adope Typekit service of the company Adobe Systems Ireland Limited on our website. This service is used for supply and representation of fonts on our website. With activating JavaScript your browser downloads font files from the Adobe Typekit servers. The data processing is only used for identifying our websites and our adobe accounts. This is necessary to show relevant fonts and to enable an expense report between Adobe and us. If you want to object to the data processing with future effect, you may use the Opt-out provided via www.adobe.com/de/privacy/opt-out.html.

4.1 Cookies
We use cookies on our website. First and foremost, this serves to make your online visit more enjoyable and personalized.

It is no longer possible to identify individual users with this truncated IP address. The information recorded by Google Analytics is transmitted to Google Inc. based in the United States but not united with other google data. The storage of google analytics cookies is based on Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR.
You can prevent the cookie storage via the settings of your browser software. We inform you that in this case you eventually will not be able to use all functions of this website.

Google is self-certified under the Privacy Shield to provide an adequate protection of your personal data under EU law. 4.2.3 We have data processing contract with google and adapt to the strict requirements of the German data protection authority while using Google Analytics.
 

4.3 Use of von Google Adwords Conversion-Tracking
This website uses Google Adwords. AdWords is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).

As part of Google AdWords, we use so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on your computer. These cookies expire after 30 days, do not contain personal data and are not used for personal identification of the user. Should the user visit certain pages of the website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the website can tell that the user clicked on the ad and proceeded to that page.

Each Google AdWords advertiser has a different cookie. Thus, cookies cannot be tracked using the website of an AdWords advertiser.

The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for the AdWords advertisers who have opted for conversion tracking. 4.5 Use of Facebook Pixel
Our website uses the visitor action pixel of Facebook, Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).
With this tool the behavior of the users can be tracked after they were transmitted to our website after clicking a Facebook advertisement. By this the efficacy of Facebook advertisements can be evaluated for statistical and market research purpose and be optimized for future advertising campaigns.

The collected data is anonymous for us as operator of the website; we are not able to draw conclusions on the identity of the user.
The data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to each user profile is possible. Facebook may use the data for their own commercial purposes; according to the Facebook-data protection note. Thus Facebook may also enable to place ad on Facebook-pages as well as outside from Facebook. The use of the data can be influenced by us as operator of the website.

5. Retention of data
We only store personal data for as long as it is necessary for the provision of the services you require.

5.1 Data collected while browsing our website and which may be legally considered personal data (such as the complete IP address) will be stored for a period of time of 180 days unless an exceptional event, such as after a hacker attack, requires a longer period of storage.

5.2 Personal data arising from a booking will be stored for the duration of maximum 10 years. In the case of a membership for the use of the Blue Spa, personal data will be saved until the end of the membership. Afterwards, the Spa membership agreements will be stored for 10 years. If you subscribe to a newsletter, corresponding data will be stored at least until you unsubscribe.

The links were proven at the time the links were installed regarding possible infringements or recognizable legal violations. Unlawful contents were unforeseeable at the time of the examination. A steady control without concrete indication of legal violations is unreasonable.
In the case of becoming aware of corresponding legal infringements, we will remove these contents immediately.

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and for the protection of the transmission of confidential content, such as order and inquiries you send to us as the site operator. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.
